Woodlad Relay for Life Kick-off

So, today was the kick-off for Woodland's RFL. I made a decision to become part of the committee. Then at a meeting on Monday I was asked to speak as the survivor. OMG! I have a terrible fear of speaking in public, and always have ever since I was in Elementary school. So I originally declined. When I told Cesar, he told me it would be great for me to do this, and he didn't want to push me, but he wanted me to do it. I thought and thought and thought about it. He's right, the only way to get over my fear is to just do it! So I started writing down a little excerpt of my story. Once I started writing, the words just kept coming. I had a hard time trying to keep it on the shorter side. I read it to Cesar to make sure it was ok to read. He obviously told me he loved it, (would he have told me if it was bad? I sure hope not, because I don't want to look like a fool in front of a bunch of strangers....)
I got to the kick-off a little bit early so I could let them know that I changed my mind, and was going to try to give my speech. I was hoping that my family and friends could make it to support me, just to let me know I was gonna be ok.... Then they called me up....OMG!!! Where is anybody???? OMG OMG OMG!!! I started freaking out. I stopped for a few seconds to breath. And then I started...my heart was pounding so hard I thought it was going to fly out of my chest. I was all over my paper, I felt so jumbled.
Then, I looked up from my paper. Guess who was running across the grass towards us?? Cesar and my boys!!! Yeah!! They MADE it!! I kind of forgot that I was nervous. And finished my story. I can't believe I did it!!
Today was a huge day for me. Huge. Thank you
I am so happy that I did it. I had people coming up telling me how they felt connected to me after hearing my story. They would tell me theirs with tears in their eyes. They really understood me, and I really understood them!

My boys got to enjoy their day outside with daddy yesterday. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well since Friday, but luckily I got to enjoy a little time with them out there too. They were having a blast playing with their sandbox, and I was able to snap some pics of them in action.....

Favorite things to do.....

Ok, so I need a little help....I want everyone to help me out with participation....ok??

Tell me, what is your favorite thing to do in Northern California with your kids? Or what was your favorite thing to do in Northern California? Tell me free things you've done, places you go, festivals, restaurants, activities, etc.....Whatever the age of the kid! Let me know the best age of the activity to do. Come on everyone!!!

So, we finally made it to the SF Zoo!! The boys had so much fun. Thanks to Candi and Jen for bringing Marley out for the fun day! We were kind of disappointed that alot of exhibits were closed. We loved the children's area though!! It was set up with a petting zoo where the kids can feed and brush little goats running around. Mateo loved the duck pond. It was a beautiful day, and I enjoyed my family time. Can't wait for our next outing!!

Lasagna!!!!

So I guess my lasagna was a hit!! We had leftovers tonite, and I could not believe Alejandro ate 3 servings!! Mateo I wasn't surprised about....but wow Jandro never eats....unless it's breakfast or ICE CREAM!!

I was so proud. =)

I just want to welcome Marley Daniel Toupin to our family! He was born on Dec 12th 2008. He is just as precious as you can get, and we all love him to PIECES!! Hang in there Candi.....you will get sleep....eventually!!! j/k!!

Candi's Diaper Cake

I have been so busy and I haven't had a chance to get this one up. Here is Candi and a pic of her diaper cake that I did for her back in November. She LOVED it!! She was even MAD at me for making her love it so much that she didn't want to take it apart when the baby came. LOL!!

Diaper Cakes!!

Ok, I am so excited about my newest venture!! Diaper cakes!! I decided to try it out for my friend's baby shower that Heather and I are throwing for her this month. I thought....what a great idea for a centerpeice....and off I went!!! There is so much stuff hidden in there, I can't wait for her to see it!!! I have gotten a great response from it so far, so hopefully it takes off!! Let me know if anyone would like a custom cake for that new arrival!! I can definitley make it more simple if needed.

Mommy and Monkeys

Well, we had a GREAT day on monday!! I was alone with my little fellas, and we decided to have an outing. I was a little nervous, just because they are in the whole "terrible 2" stage. It is hard to handle tantrums in public when you are out-numbered!

But they really did AWESOME!! First, we met Cesar for lunch. It went great, Mateo chowed down!! He really LOVES "Chile's" I guess. =) Then we went over to the outlets so I could get a few things for my next project....another diaper cake!!! Yeah....no tantrums yet!!! They just chilled out in the stroller, I made sure not to take it for granted though.....still scared of any sign of a meltdown.

Next, we went over to the Nut Tree Park. Ok, here's the real test. So we put on their "backpacks" and head in to have some fun. Oh, how they had fun!! As did I, just witnessing the joy in their adorable little faces. They rode the rides, and played, and played. Stopped for a little sip here and there. Then played some more. I just was amazed how great they had been all day, so we finished the day off with a light dinner, (Jandro actually ate!!) at Fenton's. Then we HAD to share an ice cream sundae. Duh!!

Happy Birthday Devin!!

So last night we went out to Davis to celebrate our friend Devin's big 30. We had lots of well deserved fun. We went to the Bistro for appetizers and drinks. The food was great, but the service was TERRIBLE as always, but whatever.....we had fun. Then we headed over to Pasta? they have a DJ on Saturday nights. So we danced and danced, so that made Cesar want Woodstocks............of course!!! Mmmmmhmmmmm. It was delicious. Good times. Good friends. Good food. What more can you ask for? Oh yea....my boys!!! =) I was soooo happy to come home to those little guys, and I thank them for ACTUALLY sleeping well last night!!!!

I am a tired mommy!

Oh my gosh!!! Last night was a very sleep-deprived, crazy night. I think my boys knew that I was starting back to work today. What came over them ALL night, I have no idea. Again tonight, we are having such hard times getting them to sleep. I hope to find the answers soon!! I will keep you posted!!
